Blizzard referral program
battle.netYes
Recruit A Friend is alive and genuinely two-sided, but it pays in game rather than money — mounts, a pet, cosmetics, then recurring game time.
We hold no Blizzard referral link
This one is not open to everyone. Whether you can invite anybody depends on your account, and it is offered in-product rather than advertised.
Share your Blizzard invite link
We hold no link for this one — nobody can have an account everywhere. Add yours and it goes in front of the next person who asks.
If we already hold a link for this one, yours goes on file rather than live — we swap it in if it turns out to be the better offer.
What Blizzard pays for inviting a friend
- Program type
- Refer a friend — run by the vendor
- Qualifies on
- The recruit must be a new account, or a returning player with no paid game time for a year. Rewards accrue on months of game time bought after the link is used, and progress is cumulative across recruits.
- Payout delay
- —
- Cap
- 10 linked recruits at a time
- Availability
- Not stated by Blizzard
Blizzard contradicts itself on its own site: the support article still says a returning player must have been away 24 months, while the news post announcing the update says one year. And every famous old figure — 300% bonus XP, granted levels, a free month per recruit — belongs to the pre-2020 version and is gone.
